Welcome to the School of European mathematical society on

The aim of the school is to promote the interconnection of mathematical modeling, analysis, and computational methods used in solving complex (real-world) problems. The lectures will be prepared with a broad multidisciplinary audience in mind, and at each school a broad scope, ranging from modeling to scientific computing, will be covered. Usually four main speakers deliver a series of three/four lectures. Ample time within the school is allocated for the promotion of informal scientific discussions among the participants.

• Daniel Kressner (EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland)

The school is organized under the auspices of the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague (MFF UK), as an activity of the Nečas Center for Mathematical Modeling. Financial support covering the conference fee is available for students, early career participants and participants with limited resources. Applications for financial support together with a short curriculum vitae should be sent to the conference email by March 10, 2025.

Full registration will be open in November 2024. The estimated conference fee is 13500 CZK (540 EUR). The conference fee includes accommodation (in rooms for two or three people), conference material, conference trip, and transport between Prague and Kácov and back.
